Lancashire FA Referee Mentor Scheme

Lancashire FA Referee Mentor Scheme

Lancashire FA Referees mentor scheme launching 1st March 2017

The new mentor scheme is aiming to provide for all referees who have recently completed the FA referee course. It will ensure they are supported in the best possible way. We want all new referees to enjoy the best possible start to their referee careers by having a mentor support them on four occasions in the first three months courtesy of our new scheme.

The new referee mentor scheme will split the county in to five areas;

        North

        South

        East

        West

        Central

Each area will have a Mentor Coordinator who will appoint mentors to games in their area.

Want to get involved?

Apply to become a mentor today! Mentors will play an integral part in new referee development. We expect our mentors to be available at least once a month on either a Saturday or Sunday. For each game, a short mentor report will be completed and sent in to Lancashire FA. Mentors will require an in-date, FA accepted CRC. A mentor training session will be held at Lancashire FA on Wednesday 22nd February, 6:30pm to 9pm

As a Lancashire FA Referee Mentor you will receive a photo ID, 10% off Lancashire FA Referee shop and two tickets to the Lancashire FA Referees Mentor and Volunteers event.

To book your place on the mentor course email Samuel.Yates@LancashireFA.com.

Apply to become a Mentor Coordinator today! Mentor Coordinators will be responsible for assigning mentors to games and ensuring that each new referee gets four visits in their first three months as a referee. We require five mentor coordinators to cover the areas above. Mentor Coordinators will be required to attend the Call Back/ Next Steps event after each FA Referee Course held at Lancashire FA, and visit each FA Referee Course within their area. This will give the new referee the opportunity to meet their Mentor Coordinator and exchange details to aid the referees starting out on their career path.

As a Lancashire FA Referee Mentor Coordinator you will receive a photo ID, 10% off Lancashire FA Referee shop, two tickets to the Lancashire FA Referees Mentor and Volunteers event, two tickets to watch a North West club and a Nike Lancashire FA Referee polo shirt.
